After the resounding success of last year's Summit, we've got another cracking two-day event planned for 9 - 10 March that you won't want to miss!
Our theme in 2023 is debt and equity, commodities and self development: three big ticket topics that affect every business.
We are proud to host Day 1 of the Summit in partnership with the Bigambul Nation. Day 1 starts with a breakfast session and field day at local property “Malgarai” and conference at the Goondiwindi Community Cultural Centre.
Day one of the program will kick off with a breakfast session at “Malgarai” with a world leader in practical, farm-friendly, soil microbiology, Canada-based Joel Williams of Integrity Soils. Over breakfast Joel will outline pathways for transitioning from high input, intensive production systems toward biologically based, ecologically integrated systems.
Later in the day, Joel will explain why the practice of companion and intercropping has gained major traction in recent years.
Wilmot Cattle Company General Manager Stuart Austin will discuss the company’s transition to regenerative soil and grazing management, which led to its pioneering carbon deal with Microsoft.
We are also thrilled to have Moonie grazier Mitch Cameron share the story of his spectacular gamble on the cattle market over the past three years.
The field day will conclude with a farm tour of “Malgarai”, where hosts Richard and Janet Doyle will share their regenerative agriculture journey, converting their cropping business to a cattle trading enterprise.
Day two at the Cultural Centre will feature some thought-provoking presentations on finance, farm planning and personal development.
Known for his riveting presentations, United Nations consultant on negotiation and dispute resolution Allan Parker of Peak Performance will guide us through a skills workshop on how to increase agreement, reduce conflict and build healthy families, business and culture.
Liz Otto of Cornerstone Sustainability will outline the key stages to planning your Future Farm Blueprint, using a balance book approach to evaluate your business and where you need to drive it.
Sprout Ag partner Henry Holcombe will join Bentley’s Queensland partner Rohan Dunsdon in a session on stress testing your business in inflationary markets and understanding how your finances are managed.
Drinks on the deck will follow the sessions at 3:45pm. For those keen to continue the conversation, we will be heading to the QL for dinner at 6pm.
