2026 Agribusiness Summit Field Day

March 2026 turned on the heat, but that didn’t stop more than 120 people from joining us for the 2026 Agribusiness Summit Field Day. We were incredibly impressed by everyone who braved the conditions and made the most of the day.

This year’s field day was held on Tom and Antoinette Archer’s property near Yelarbon.

We had a fantastic day touring their centre pivots, checking out their Optiweigh systems, and seeing firsthand the pasture established under irrigation. One of the standout aspects of the day was the quality of data Tom was able to share. He provided valuable insights comparing the performance of irrigation blocks with improved pastures against areas of natural pasture, giving attendees plenty to think about.

We also heard from Terry McCosker from CarbonLink, who spoke about the current state of carbon farming and how the industry is continuing to evolve and influence broader agricultural practices.

Stuart Austin, former General Manager of Wilmot Cattle Co and now founder of Audacious Ag, delivered a highly engaging and interactive session. Stuart challenged attendees to identify the biggest constraints in their businesses and think strategically about practical ways to address them.

Jack Cresswell from Farms Advice was a crowd favourite, helping draw out key insights from each speaker and ensuring the audience got maximum value from every session. The day concluded with a panel discussion facilitated by Jack, bringing together the key themes of the event and leaving attendees with practical, actionable take-home messages.

A big thank you to Tom and Antoinette Archer for opening their gates and sharing their operation with us, and to everyone who attended and contributed to another successful Agribusiness Summit Field Day.

We also want to thank our field day financial supporters Suncorp Bank, B&W Rural, Atlas Grazing, Claas, Goondiwindi Regional Council, Westpac, Carbonlink, RCS, Fox and Thomas and Sprout Ag. This project is also funded by Queensland Government’s Natural Resources Recovery Program.
