Multi-Species Field Day

AUGUST 2023

More than 70 farmers and agri-consultants attended our Multi-Species Cover Cropping field day at Sophie and Adrian McInnerney’s farm ‘Bellhaven Brook’, Glenarbon.

Wyreema farmer and cover cropping enthusiast Ian Beard presented on multi-species cropping, soil biology, fertilising and machinery, giving attendees practical applications for modern day farming.

Attendees enjoyed a farm tour of ‘Bellhaven Brook’, home to the McInnerney’s successful paddock to plate operation Macintyre Brook Lamb, as well as a lamb BBQ lunch on the banks of the beautiful Macintyre Brook.

Ian Beard’s recipes for seed treatments, cover crop mixes, foliar sprays and more are available in the Members’ area of the Macintyre Ag Alliance website.

All photos were taken by Caleb Back from Southern Queensland Landscapes.

Thank you to our field day partners Bigambul Native Title Aboriginal Corporation and field day sponsors the Australian Government’s Murray-Darling Healthy Rivers Program and the Queensland Government’s Natural Resource Recovery Program.
